It’s surrounded by olive trees and is known for its production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Also known for its chocolate factory and museum, for its chocolate nativity scene at Christmas, aniz museum and ham museum, among others. Population that keeps its traditions alive such as its Holy Week processions, the festivities in honor of its patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen, the Carnival, etc. in which the entire population participates.
With interesting hiking trails in Rute and neighboring towns, horseback riding, mountain biking, climbing, paragliding and canoeing in nearby Iznajar, it is a tourist spot with an exceptional natural environment.
